The Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, in collaboration with the American Brewers Guild, is offering a full-tuition scholarship to the Guild’s Intensive Brewing Science & Engineering program, running January 17 through June 26, 2027.
Applications must be received by November 6, 2026.
The 22-week Intensive Brewing Science & Engineering program combines distance education with a final week of residential instruction in Vermont. Designed for professional brewers and homebrewers without formal brewing science training, the program covers the fundamentals of beer production, brewing science, and quality assurance.
The American Brewers Guild is a premier educational institution serving the craft brewing industry, with a curriculum focused on the technical, scientific, and operational challenges brewers face in a craft brewing environment.
Scholarship Includes
The Falconer Foundation scholarship provides:
- Full tuition for the Intensive Brewing Science & Engineering program
- A $1,000 stipend to help offset travel and lodging expenses for the final residential week
- Access to a highly respected brewing education program designed to strengthen technical and professional brewing knowledge
The 2027 class is currently full except for this scholarship slot.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open to professional brewers and homebrewers from:
- Washington
- Oregon
- Alaska
- Hawaii
- Northern California, including the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas and north
